Michael Burch and Kevin Hanson in Colombia

Kevin Hanson and Michael Burch, both from Florida, are in Colombia working with Florida Colombia Partners and Global Opportunity Garden. They’ve been learning a lot and have done a great job strengthening Florida’s involvement in the partnership. Kevin visited Colombia for the first time last year when he spent two weeks learning about the partnership and Colombia. He also helped Matt Morton with youth advocacy leadership training workshops. Both Matt and Kevin loved Colombia and have stayed very involved with the Partnership. Kevin also succeeded in recruiting his friend, Mike, and both are volunteering on rigorous schedules, working with Voces del Silencio, a group of deafblind children and young people. They also help Alison McKellar with the Lives Worth Sharing photography project that is coordinated by Global Opportunity Garden and Mercadeo Social.
